San Luis Valley in Colorado is a lesser known part of Colorado, but offers all the beauty that the rest of the state has. The San Luis Valley was a favorite place of mine when I lived there and when I returned for a visit I made sure to the valley on my agenda. I was able to visit during the Winter in between snow storms and could have been luckier with the weather. The mountains were all snow capped and tourist destinations such as, The Great Sand Dunes National Park were empty. The first photos in this series was from Mt. Evans near Denver during the same visit.
Disneyland in Anaheim, California is a popular theme park. I visited the park during the Summer of 2017 and was very impressed with it. The park was clean and the crowd control work fairly well in keeping the large crowds flowing. Being the photographer that I am I tried to take photos of a different type while at Disneyland. There were a lot of unique photo ops and here are some of the ones I took. All photos were taken with my Ricoh GR II. For more info on visiting Disneyland click here.
These photos are from a visit to Mount Diablo State Park in California. Mount Diablo offers panoramic views of the San Francisco East Bay area. The State Park is a very nice place and has lots of hiking trails and viewing points. I visited the park in the Summer of 2014 when the grasses had turned a golden brown color. This made for some spectacular photos. The photos posted here are highlights of that visit.
