The Mid Peninsula in the San Francisco Bay Area is home to many recreational areas. These areas provide tons of hiking and I took full advantage when I arrived to the Peninsula in 2012. These photos are from a hike and are from a film camera. I used Kodak PORTRA 35mm film for these photos.
The San Francisco Bay Peninsula offers many hiking opportunities. There are several conservation areas that has miles and miles of trails. Wilderness and hiking also means photo opportunities. I hiked many times while living in San Mateo and here are some highlights from one such hike in 2014.
Ano Nuevo State Park in California is located just north of the Monterey Bay. It has a elephant seal sanctuary and during breeding season visitors can see elephant seals breeding resting on the beaches. I visited this state park in the Summer 2014 at a time when the elephant seal population was at its peak. The hike to the seals was a little long, but was well worth the effort. There were many guides along the way to answer questions. The photo ops were plenty and here are some of the highlights.
