Using film to create film photos was a favorite pastime of mine. These photos are taken in Pacifica, California shortly after I moved to San Mateo. I used black and white film loaded in my Canon A2 camera. This might have been my second ever visit to Pacifica. Anyway, it was my favorite spot.
Fitzgerald Marine Reserve was one of my favorite oceanside places to go while I was living in San Mateo. During low tides Fitzgerald Marine Reserve offered tidal pools that would produce the occasional starfish. There were also hiking trails and overlooks. I had traveled there several times and each time tried to capture something unique. Here are two photos I took on one such visit. My wife posed beautifully for one of them. Here is more info on Fitzgerald Marine Reserve.
Fitzgerald Marine Reserve is located near Half Moon Bay, California. It is a great place for exploring tidal pools during low tide. I visited this area several times while I lived in San Mateo. It has a few hiking trails and is a great place to take photos. This would also be a good place for portrait photographers. These photos are highlights from one such visit.
