I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in November of 2012. I immediately took advantage of the photo opportunities in this area. These photos I took during a visit to San Francisco. Any photography could spend a lifetime photographing San Francisco. I’m grateful that I got to spend a couple of heartbeats in the city.
Just across the Golden Bridge is a recreation area called the Marin Headlands. This is a beautiful coastal area and offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, The Golden Gate Bridge, and San Francisco. I visited this place shortly after moving to San Mateo in the Fall of 2012. These photos are a mix of digital and film. I know! Sacrilege! But, it’s my blog. :)~ Here is more info on the Marin Headlands.
This was a pro surfer competition in Ocean Beach, California. I hadn’t moved to California yet and was just visiting when I saw this event. It was a unique experience for me as I stood on the beach shoulder to shoulder with professional sports photographers. Sports photography has always been an interest of mine. I enjoy capturing the action and being on location. Who know? Maybe someday I’ll pursue it. These photos were taken with my Canon 60D.
